What We Do
Enviro Matter provides innovative Compostable products and solutions to reduce and replace single-use plastic and as well as to address the waste and landfill problems. Our plant based compostable packaging products (PLA and Bagasse) are designed to be composted together with food waste. We are also able to create a food and packaging waste composting solutions. We create solutions that offer opportunities for job creation, skills development and long-term sustainability.
We help Companies
consider using their Corporate Social Investment (CSI) an integral part of
their Corporate Eco Branding solution. Companies who help to provide resources,
equipment, volunteering initiatives and funding to a variety of schools and
community projects and other initiatives. We assist them in eliminating as much
single use plastic products as possible with the aim of stimulating and
supporting social economic upliftment in South Africa.
We believe that all of these together will have a positive impact across the board on so many levels.
What Our Products Can Do
Organic Waste / Carrier Bags:
Providing retail and other companies that make use of a single used
plastic carrier bags is soon becoming a memory of the past. We at Enviro Matter
are working hard with retailers and government to make sure that retailers do
not make the problem (a plastic carrier bag) and then expect their customers to
resolve that problem (by recycling the plastic carrier bag) themselves. We at Enviro Matter
would rather have retailers and other companies, provide their patrons with
compostable bags that can be used a few times. Then at the end of their life
cycle, they are able to be used one last time as a compostable container for
any food scraps. No single use plastics means happier customers and less
landfills damaging the ground.
Mulch Film:
At Enviro Matter we find that farmers are constantly battling the elements, animals and as well as weeds and insects. At Enviro Matter we help our farmers by providing them with a solution that allows them to combat weeds, increase crop yields, focus the sun light back to the crop and increase their productivity. Not to forget the peace of mind that by using a compostable Mulch Film, farmers no longer need to worry about picking up the remaining plastic from their farm, as a compostable solution allows them to plough the field normally, whilst adding nutrients to the ground. No single use plastic in the ground means better crop yields, happier farmers.
Shrink Wraps:
Just like the Mulch Film, Inject Moulding and transport Packaging, Enviro Matter
has seen a need to provide a compostable solution in this industry. With the
meters of single use plastics that are being placed on various items destined
across South Africa and as well as the world. We at Enviro Matter are doing our
best to provide clients with a compostable solution. We are in negotiations
with manufacturers to provide an option to their clients, and as in Transport
Packaging, Shrink Wrap is used to transport product to countries. Now companies
are able to extend their reach while providing a compostable solution. No
single use plastics means less land fill, less waste and less damage to the
environment.
Transport Packaging:
Another area that Enviro Matter has made a change in. As most
countries are eliminating single use plastics, this does include envelops,
packaging containers and protective packaging materials. We at Enviro Matter
have seen the way forward and are in negotiations with manufacturers to change
their current products into compostable products. This is a complete industry
change and will allow companies to be the first in South Africa to be able to
send a totally compostable packaging solution to another country, and that is a
way that jobs will be increased as those companies will be able to grow and
employ more staff. No single use plastics means more jobs created in the
compostable industry.
Injection Moulding:
We at Enviro Matter like to think differently. We have found that there
is a lot of single use packaging out there that are just as harmful as single
use plastic bags and straws. That is why we at Enviro Matter are ahead of
the competition, by negotiating with manufacturers in producing a totally
compostable packaging solution. Packaging such as butter dishes, milk
containers and many more single use items. We at Enviro Matter are showing
Manufacturers and wholesalers that being the leaders in change and making their
products compostable, will be a far better reward, as customers nowadays are
wanting to feel better about their purchases, and not be burdened with
recycling that is not energy efficient. No single use plastics means happier
customers not creating landfills.
